The Book Club - "One Hot Minute" by Red Hot Chili Peppers (Episode 193)

Despite being a fan of theirs for many years, DJ Jessica has never listened to an entire Red Hot Chili Peppers album. Although Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991) and Californication (1999) have been on her to-do list for awhile, she chose this album as her first after recently learning about how critically panned this album was at the time, as well as the infighting that got so bad the band almost broke up, which made her more curious to hear it. In this episode, Jess finds out if the curiosity was worth it, and if this album really was as much of a departure from their roots as people have made it out to be. She also, unfortunately, listened to "Pea".
